Thread: Bumping of Old Polls

  1. But is there a way to limit the maximum possible lifespan of polls, so that they always automatically close after a point?

  2. I'm more of a "let the market decide" kind of guy. Think of it this way: a user can only vote in a given poll one time. Even if some clown went around bumping every single poll for laughs, that would be a minor annoyance and then the topics would start sinking back off the first pages of their boards.

    If TNL could be annoyance-free and still a free marketplace of ideas, I'd take steps toward that end, but I have pored over the forum settings more than once, and I think this setup is the best compromise.

    Truly, how much does it annoy you that someone bumped a few polls? I don't think its even ban-worthy.
