Just began Chapter 3, Torneko in Fargoland.
Wasted a whole lot of time in chapter 2's casino so that I could win a sword no one could use. Shoulda checked that first I suppose.
we know what inspired star trek's Chekov reboot.

This thread reminded me of these games. Picked up a used DQVI for my 3DS.
Has anyone played the translated PS2 version of DQV? I'm trying to decide whether to play that or the DS version. I would be playing the DS version via the WiiU so I could play on a TV, so I'm wondering if there's gameplay enhancements to make the visual downgrade worthwhile.
IIRC the PS2 DQV doesn't double your EXP and gold per battle like all three DS remakes do; the rates are the same as they are in the original. Whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you I guess, but I really like not having to grind the hell out of the DS games.
No accents in the PS2 translation, though!
I spent around 80 hours with DQ3.
I beat (still have to do last chapter though) DQ4 in 32.
DS version it is!
