I've Been Banned from the Internet

Due to legal troubles I got myself into last year (which I won't go into detail), part of my probation will be limited use of computers, including the internet I think. I don't know much of the details (the paperwork I was given is very vague) but from what I can gather I can only use the computer for school and work. I also must make a note of it. I basically have to notify my probation officer whenever I want to do something. I'm hoping he'll be chill.

Along with this I'm also on basic probation along with community service and a fine I must pay along with some other random restrictions and crap. Probation is for 3 years, but if I follow all the rules and whatever, 1 year. My lawyer said he might be able to take some off the restrictions off at 6 months.

Has anyone ever been on probation? Any advice?

If so it's odd they'd ban you from the internet. Didn't know that could be part of probation. Or were you committing some kind of internet fraud? Child porn site maybe?
