Went into work late and had been tasked with the hardest assignment, and so was expecting to be way behind due to playing catch up on something that can't really go faster. Instead all the people I had to assist were as mentally capable as they can literally get and everything went smooth as can be. Made my day great.

Turns out I have another in at USNA, the Chaplain at the USNA is my mother's good friend's son, who is Johnny Cash's nephew. This is interesting.

Well my best friend is one of the company commanders and is on the board of admissions and my grandfather, great grandfather, 2 uncles, and brother (who holds record for most yards returned on punt) went there. If any of that might help?

It's who you know. I forgot to mention my dad went there as well. Really though, having connections is the only way to have options. It's not as simple as being the best at what you do.

Like I said, this is entry level and will be the stepping stone to get me out of this financial job and into IT like I wanted. I've got the father in law who's got the recruiter in his pocket and has been working there for 30 years, along with the Chaplain's mom.

Buying a house on wednesday.

Looking at the abandoned building next to the owl tomorrow as a research kitchen, greenhouse, office, extremely small 2nd restaurant. Like, 8 seats. Doing space food. 125 a person tax / tab / tip. Only myself and an assistant work in the whole thing. 2 8-person seatings on Friday and Saturday right at the kitchen - like a sushi bar for modern food.
