fashionably.
I'm almost a little proud that I didn't know what a "Magic Mike" was until it was being forced in my face by co-workers today.
I like my women like I like my coffee. Covered in bees!
uh...very weird deal today
Remember the guy that I was so happy about buying the old eletronics off of?
He was leaving today and told me I could have the whole table of stuff for 25.00 I bit, though a little worried that I had just gotten more junk to sort. I took pictures of the nameplates before leaving for the room. Thinking "I better check this stuff out, it might be garabge and someone might offer me more than I paid on Saturday when all the normal people come in"
I did a search on the data plates.
Most of it goes to an vacuum tube based sound system for diners and soda shops in the 50s. Remember those little chrome things that sat on the end of the table with a little juke box selector? Yeah, I have 5 or 6 sections of this primitive computer.

Had me a good day. I woke up late, which I hate doing, actually, because I don't like having wasted half my day sleeping, but I must've needed it. Then I ate an early lunch and watched last Wednesday's episode of So You Think You Can Dance. I'm diggin' this year's Top 20 for the most part. After that I hopped on the bike and hit the gym for a couple of hours, which was sorely needed because I had been slackin' this week. After a decent workout I got back on the motorcycle and decided to go for a long ride to nowhere in particular. So, I popped my earbuds in, set my iPod to play this mix and hit the open road. And I gotta tell you, the combination of fantastic summer weather, the scenic roads in my neck of CT and my new favorite tune had me, if only for a brief while, in a complete state of ease and contentment. It's rare that I'm able to feel that genuinely happy. If only I could bottle the emotion and save some for later.
Anyway, now I'm nursing a Hoegaarden and the plan is to spend the evening in, catching up a bit on TNL and then possibly working on a DJ mix that I've been putting off doing. Or maybe watch an episode or two of True Blood (I'm WAY behind).
I can hear fireworks off in the distance... I've always loved this time of year.![]()
