You can buy a car with your credit card. Holy shit.

  2. I have Chase and they've been doing pretty well for me, a lot better than the Key Bank issued credit card that is a bitch to pay online. Never had a problem with Chase, granted, I only got it because I had 18 months 0 APR for the student card starting out.

  3. Credit cards are evil I tell you... evil.

I work at the circulation desk in our school's library so I've got pretty much the same setup except I check books in/out for people, troubleshoot/reload printers, and do a few other menial tasks every now and then.

It's a cool job to have. Nice and quiet, flexible hours, and I have lots of downtime.

    37K is pretty hefty.

Hell, My Platinum is only 45K.

My other card is a loltastic 5k.

yeah seriously. this is exactly why i never use it. if i do i buy something i can already afford and pay it off before the interest starts.

I use mine more or less like debit. I rarely keep a balance of over $100 unpaid and I always pay more than the minimum payment whenever I have a balance. Just using it to establish credit, I never use it without being able to pay it off instantly.

Yeah, I had the same plan. But then I moved (this was back in 2005) and started a new shitty job. So I had to put groceries and gas on the ol' Chase card. Then I got that paid off and decided to go on an lolspendingspree so now I'm paying that back. I wouldn't say I'm in trouble with the thing, but damn I hate being in debt (~$2400).

Back on thread topic: I now have an awesome plan to pay off my credit card in just a few months. Woot.

Why the hell do you need a 45 k spending limit?

Or is that what they gave you after many smart purchases.

They qualify you off your credit rating, the amount you put on credit, and what you make a year. Get out of highschool and you'll understand.
