Don't assume you can get 0% financing because your credit is good. Dealers only offer that sort of deal as special incentives which don't seem to apply to Camry right now. 0% financing costs Toyota money, so it's not something car manufacturers can offer constantly or even frequently.

Yea, I noticed that its not offered by Toyota, only low APR. but the dealer has it posted on their site

You'll only get 0% if the manufacturer is running a special. If they are it will be on a shortened term, like 3 years. A good rate barring special finance deals is 5-6%. Memorize the invoice pricing at www.edmunds.com . Go to a credit union and get approved for financing BEFORE going to the dealer. Make the dealer beat that rate or just go with the CU. Know what teir you are and your credit score. Even with the special rates the dealer will try to tack on a couple extra points to line their pocket. Say no to EVERY additional option the finance guy throws at you (extended warranty, paint protection, corrosion protection, window etching). They are all crap. My dealer wouldn't let me get out without window etching, they said they already had it done to every car on the lot but I complained and at least they took half off. DON'T BE AFRAID TO WALK AWAY. If you know what you want email the internet dept of all the local Toyota dealers for quotes. That will frequently get you the best deal. One of the best ways to find out what you should end up paying is going to a model specific forum and find out what deals other people are getting. The edmunds true market value isn't the lowest you could easily get it for. Their invoices aren't exact either but it'll be around that. Some dealer fees are legit and some aren't, you'll have to find out from people who know Toyota.

I looked up the incentives on the 08s at edmunds and you can get $1000 cash or a special finance rate - 2.9% for 36 months, 3.9 for 48, or 4.9 for 60. These usually change monthly... OK I just checked again with my parents' zip code in MA. and the rates are 0.0, 1.9, and 2.9 respectively so that will probably be what you'll get.

2.9, 3.9, 4.9 is what I see also. I'll have the car paid off in 6 months.

I read up on it and will make sure not to buy added warranties. I should also find out if there is any problems with paying off car early.

I still think if you want a reliable boring-mobile you should get an Accord. It's beaten the Camry on every comparison I've read.

See other thread as to why I dont want 2 door. gf has a 03 Accord. I like but costs a little more than the Camry.

If you plan on paying it off in 6 months it might be better to take the $1000 cash back instead of the special financing rate. You'll have to do the math. Seriously, even if you plan on taking the special rate walk in with an approval from your CU. I can't repeat that enough.

One bonus to the Accord is the 4 cylinder has 190hp, so you wouldn't even need to step up to the v6. I think the interior is a way nicer place to be but that's subjective.

Seriously. You'll average about 4-5 mpg less in the G8 but gain more interior space, better seats, 100 hp, rear wheel drive, and a much better chassis.

lol, I was just talking to my dad and he said he raced a Aston Martin DB9 on the way home from dinner last night. The dude wouldn't let him pass on the left, speeding up to keep him back. Then when the road opened to 3 lanes he punched it and passed him on the right. The DB9 just followed along until my dad was about to take his exit and then took off.

I wish I was in the car with him. Also, there are rumors of a Alfa C8 roaming around here.

Anything I should look out for when I'm about to buy. Going to head to Toyota dealer after July 4th or end of month to get my Camry SE V6. Going to have my cousin go with me as she has bought and financed a couple of cars herself so she'll know what to look out for and help me. but I also wanted to know for myself. I have perfect credit so getting 0% finance shouldnt be a problem.

There are much better vehicles than a Camry. Don't be a sheep.

No cause the majority of people who buy a Camry ... follow other people and not try and do the legwork to see if that's what they really want.

If he followed Bojack's advice he would be going against the grain. Which is not a bad idea really. Considering that the current batch of Toyota's are getting bad reviews due to bad quality control and a ton of recalls.

I don't mind the Camry, but the big thing right now that is hurting Toyota is that their quality control is gone in the shitter. The 2007-'08 model Camry's and Corollas are plagued with brake and engine issues. All he has to do is Google auto recalls and the latest set is Toyota. And its only going to get worse, cause the 2008-'09's are from the same factories. Monitored by the same board and since the auto industry is being hit hard with the economy. Not only are the big 3 laying off workers, so are Honda and Toyota.

If anything buy a 2005-'06 Camry. Or do what Finch does and ride a scooter.

I'm having problems with her right now. She's really tough to start. I don't know if it's the battery fading or that i need to do a valve adjustment. 1st valves, then batt'ry, then save up for new engine. She has some new parts waiting to be installed, nothing for speed, just to keep the engine alive.
