Back from the NYIAS. The GTR looks sweet. The Camaro and Lexus is sexy too. I looked at the new 2009 Acura TSX. Looks nice. Back seats dont have much leg room and grill is OK. Probably when I plan to get a car in mid-2009, hopefully a turbo or SH-AWD will be available on the 2010 TSX. Hoping JDM comes out with an aftermarket grill or something.

  2. The GT-R that the Philly show had was the japanese version. Bandit was the one you saw the US release?

Also, I wish the Philly show had the Lexus and the Acura.

Wish they kept the Skyline badge. Also, I hope like in the Japanese market you can configure the shit out of the car.

I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

I believe it was the US version.

It is indeed awesome. Are they airing it on TV? I hope that car works out for GM, it's a great car at a good price.

  6. I went to go check out the price for the G8 on GMs website, and while that just shows a coming soon instead of price, I did see something very fucked up.

    2008 G5 Coupe SE Driver's Package
    Cash Price: $21,395.00

    2008 G6 Sedan SE
    Cash Price: $21,749.00

    2008 G6 Sedan SE Driver's Package
    Cash Price: $23,445.00

What the hell? Why would anyone buy a trumped up G5 for $400 less than it would cost to buy a G6?

It's like $29,995 for the V8 and base interior options, and $32,995 fully loaded.

What are the differences in equipment? G5 starts $3k less than the G6 sedan, but $8k less than the G6 coupe. You can make a lot of cheaper cars match or exceed the prices of their bigger brothers, but you're generally getting more options. Or two fewer doors, which some people prefer (me!).

  8. The G6 sedan is just the basic Sedan, 4 doors, V6.

The G5 I listed is the coupe, but all of them are listed for that price. Well, all the "drivers packages".

Yes the G5 basic starts 3000 cheaper than the base G6, but really, having driven both cars fairly extensively while I was working for National Car Rental, this isn't even close.

On a different front, I approve of this plan. I hope it catches on, and I hope it will allow me in the future to subscribe to a service for home and road.

Did anyone catch that the G8 would be available with the manual transmission? Pontiac is really delivering.
