So I just got a new camera and wanted to finally take some nice pics of my car. I have a 2007 Subaru Impreza, love the thing to death.
LOL... well, at least the bodies look sort of similar. sort of.

Yeah, my BIL is on his second STI, a 2007. He had a 2005, sold it to get a Buick Grand National, which was stolen and trashed about 6 months after he got it.
Who said family cars couldn't be fun?
I'm working some extra hours this month, so I better get my damn motorcycle's electrics sorted out. It's such a pain in the ass.
There are a LOT of scooters here in Gainesville. Most of them are just cheap Chinese knock-offs. Today, though, I saw a woman on an older Vespa that had a manual transmission. There are a few Vespas in town, but this was the first one with a manual that I've seen.
Sucks about the GN. I don't know that I've ever seen one in person, but they sound like a blast.
Do you do your own work on your bike? I've always wished I could stuff on my car but I'm 1) afraid of breaking something so expensive and 2) without a lot of tools and room. I'd really like to do the basic stuff on my bike, like oil changes to start with. Too bad that crap requires an expensive torque wrench :/I'm working some extra hours this month, so I better get my damn motorcycle's electrics sorted out. It's such a pain in the ass.
Never seen a scooter with a manual transmission. My coworker picked up a new Yamaha Vino when he found out I was getting my bike (I was his ride to work, which wouldn't work out on the bike so he had to do something). It's a fun little scooter and got it brand new for $2,500--advertised as something like 85 mpg and it tops out around 55 mph, which ain't shabby at all. If I wasn't interested in a motorcycle, a 125 cc scooter like his would be pretty attractive for local errand running.
The Grand National was a really nice car; perfect condition. It was actually his second one; he had one back when he was in college, too.
Yeah, I'm putting the bike together myself. Because mine is so old, and not really worth anything, I really have nothing to lose by doing it all myself. It causes one to have a much greater appreciation of the inner workings, as well as a general knowledge of how it goes together. I've always done basic stuff like oil changes on my car... it's not any different on your bike. With tools, just start small and work your way up. To start with just get a metric socket set from Sears. Craftsman tools have a lifetime replacement policy (except for torque wrenches).
So I was watching this show on the Science Channel and they showcased this car - the VX-1 Electric Car. I was amazed to see how fast this thing was. It torched a Mucielago and a NASCAR. It did 0-60 in 3 seconde and this thing runs off of a Lithium Ion battery. Very cool shit.

Lots of scooters have manual transmissions, i think the automatic thing is relatively new.
This one, Genuine's Stella, is a re-branded Vespa with a manual. I'd be interested if i could throw down $3,000, but as it is I'm trying to get a hot little Honda Metropolitan for about a third of that.
Scooters are super gay in the awesomest way.
Donk
I would ride a scooter. 80mpg? ok sure.
