Did you expect anything more from Nintendo?

These are more like the Sega AGES releases. That is, visibly low-rent remakes, but some of them are pretty neat. Star Soldier was supposed to be very good, and Bonk was good as well. Not sure about AI, but it looked alright.

There were a bunch of other remakes in this series in Japan. Some looked good (Tengai Makyo), some not so good.

It has that ugly pre-rendered look but looking at videos now, it's not as bad in motion. Still, I think I will stick to New Adventure Island and Wonder Boy.

  4. Own all of them and can safely say each is worth $15 apiece. Star Soldier looks like ass but has the classic caravan modes, a great soundtrack, and some fun score mechanics. Adventure Island feels like the best parts of New Adventure and the NES original. One flaw I did notice was a odd skip in frames here and there. Bonk benefits from the best visual style, more balanced boss fights, oddly I found collecting all the fruit in each level to fun as well. *-neo

  5. I'm all over that Bonk remake.

  6. No <3 for Cubic Loderunner?

  7. the star soldier remake is underrated- it's definately worth 15 bucks
