Driving isn't fun. I drive with my permit (since I really don't want to get my license) and whenever I do it sucks.
I'll put some pictures up when I drive it this coming week: CT Route 146. This is a fantastic drive at night or on a really sunny day in the summer
Also, this route has some really awesome parts in it: CA Route 17. Best to head south on 17 from the 280 and take it all the way to Route 1 in Santa Cruz, do this during the day. Then drive back up to the 280 at night.
Finally, the parts of I-91 in Vermont near Brattleboro are really nice on a cloudless day or a foggy day.
Pretty much anywhere late at night with few cars and good music.
Check out Mr. Businessman
He bought some wild, wild life
On the way to the stock exchange
He got some wild, wild life
Or during the fall color season, or just after a snow or ice storm. The views are amazing.
As far as driving, there is a loop of awesomeness around Hartford. Start on 84 east near West Hartford, follow through to I-291 in Manchester, floor it. I have done this stretch of highway north of 140 mph on a couple of occasions, then merge onto I-91 south back into hartford, as long as traffic is cool, fly down that until you hit Route 9, take that to 84 and complete the Hartford superspeedway run.
Ooh, I forgot about Route 9.
280 freeway, south of San Francisco. Wide, rolling hills with no cops in sight. Traffic moves at a constant 80 with the brave going to 90 without problems. Traffic is light. I love it.
Also love driving Skyline Blvd. just south of my apartment. Speed limit is about 55 and there are occasional red lights, making for fun 0-60 runs. It's also often very foggy, which is just fun.
Go ninja go ninja go
Any West coasters comment on the Pacific Coast Highway? I'd like to check it out on vacation then swing through Arizona. Heard in a few spots it goes to shit with freeway merging. *-neo
