I wouldn't say I didn't get any payoff. There really isn't any need to have Vista right now, and for 2 years it has plaed every game I throw at it just fine.

My hardware is:
AMD FX-60 (socket 939)
Asus A8N32 SLI Deluxe mobo
2gig ram ddr (i cannot remember the exact speed but Vista rated them a 5.3)
BFG nVidia 7900GTX (standard)
150Gb 10,000 rpm raptor HDD
