Matt Singer is a singer/songwriter from New York working in the urban folk realm, one of the many of whom I was lucky to see when I was there last time. His 2006 album All Us Heathens is incredible and can be found in the usual place. It's quite jazzy and also reminds me of Andrew Bird's stuff, though is dissimilar enough that it's a fairly unique experience. Right now, I'd say that All Us Heathens is my current favorite album, so I'm trying to give the guy some exposure. Check it out and talk about it here if you're so inclined.

Favorite Track: Shit, I don't know, they're all incredible... maybe Constellations is extra-incredible though.

haha I was going to listen to it anyway. I don't think BBB is your bag, but try it out anyway. The more interesting tracks are later on in the album, the more danceable ones in the beginning.
