Beamrider please.

I saw this at neogaf. These are coming for DS, Wii, and PC. There aren't any screens yet but someone there said the Speccy one has around 100 games on it.
I doubt these will have System 3 and Epyx stuff as those have got/are getting their own re-releases and remakes but there's still a lot of potential here.
Beamrider please.

I like Beamrider. Activision should have already re-released computer versions of that but they always focus solely on the 2600.

I remember Beamrider by name, but I don't recall playing it. I probably have it on my C-64. But I have so many games on that system, that chances are I never played it.
I'm hoping the C-64 collection (PC) will include Beachhead I&II, Mail Order Monsters, Archon, Racing Destruction set(would be fun online), Jumpman collection and Boulder Dash.
If there is truth in advertising, the Spectrum compilation will be an empty box![]()
If this is missing space taxi, the compilers will need to be brought up on federal charges.
I never got to enjoy the C64, hell I didn't know what the hell it was until TNL.
I would think this could be a pretty cool chance.
MOM, Archon, and RDS were all EA-published. I doubt they'll be on either collection. Which is too bad, because EA published a lot of great stuff on the C64 and Atari 8-bit. In fact, the biggest problem with this compilation is that many of the really good games were published by companies like Activision, EA, and LucasArts (then known simply as Lucasfilm Games), which still exist today and no doubt have their own plans for their games.
Jumpman was published by Epyx, so we know that they won't be on this disc (see Neozeedeater's post).

EA did publish those, but Archon was developed by Freefall; does Freefall even exist anymore. EA also published alot of stuff coming from Europe. I'd think that some of these titles would have some level of public domain or have the rights retained by the original developers.
There was a version of Load Runner done on the N64 afterall.
Neo didn't necessarily count out the possibility of those Epyx titles making it, but the chances do seem pretty slim.![]()
