Thread: I'm only a few years too late... (Version 2.0!)

  1. I'm only a few years too late... (Version 2.0!)

Ok guys. After an UNBELIEVABLE deal at best buy, I have a Samsung 50" HDTV coming to me, as well as a 360 and Halo 3. Awesome.

Getting the 360 tonight, and I'm asking you guys: What's a good game to get with it, that I'm hoping on the more cheap side of things (I just dropped a lot of money, less then I should have, but I feel iffy spending a lot more).

So guys. What's good for the 360? Oh, and I already know about Gears and BioShock. :P

  2. #2
    Dead Rising

  3. Skate, Halo 3 and Dead Rising (flawed, yet very worthwhile) are probably the best on the system, outside of Gears and Bioshock. Download some demos.

  4. Get Oblivion if you haven't already played it. That'll give you more hours of entertainment than just about anything.

And Ridge Racer 6 can be had for like $5 and is a heck of a lot of fun.

Backwards compatibility makes some Xbox 1 games incredible - Fatal Frame II is highly recommended.
    -Kyo

  5. Crackdown if you like to mess around (real easy to get that one used).
Burnout Revenge if you haven't played it (a good warm up till 5 hits in Feb or so).
Condemned and Earth Defense Force has it's fair share of fans.

Go demo crazy when you get it.

  6. Oblivion, Dead Rising, Crackdown, Condemned, Kameo, RR6, PGR3.
Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

  7. The games I have had the most fun with on the 360, and that I feel are worth owning, are:

    Dead Rising
    Stuntman Ignition
    Gears of War
    Eternal Sonata
    F.E.A.R.
    Kameo Elements of Power
    Ridge Racer 6
    Dirt
    Tomb Raider Legends

Some other games I consider fun, but second tier type games would be:

Test Drive Unlimited and Table Tennis.

BIOSHOCK is also a great game, but its really not my cup of tea.

  8. Dead Rising sucked major ass. Where are all these recommendations coming from?

Anyway, you're getting Halo 3. There's very little reason to get anything else since that one game will give you months if not years of entertainment.

  9. Dead or Alive 4 is a great fighting game if you're into that sort-of thing, and the best online fighting period. It still has a stong online community and I think it was a launch title. Probably <$30 now too.
