  1. Activision buys Bizarre Creations

I'm amazed MS didn't snatch them up...

I'm guessing that BC doesn't own the PGR name, much like Rare with Banjo K.

    Metropolis Street Racer 2, anyone?

  5. LOL, WTF? Mass creative staff exodus ahoy.

  6. This is terrible news. Activision is so terrible.
Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

  7. This is quite unexpected, and a bit sad. Sure, there's a chance they'll bring back the PGR-style gameplay with the MSR name (possibly, didn't Sega own the rights to that, leading to the PGR name in the first place?), but no matter what they name their signature racing series, it'll be hurt by the lack of the PGR name.

MSR2 became Project Gotham Racing on the Xbox, because Sege still owned the rights to the name.

However, after doing a little google search, it turns out the MSR2 is coming to the Wii. I'm guessing that Sega's rights to that name have now expired, since it's been a good 8+ years.

You have to wonder if this is even a legit title though. Wii HD-DVD?

    Yes please.

The boxart is fake. Sega does own the rights to MSR. After selling only 125K copies on the DC Bizarre asked Sega for permission to port it to PS2, they were denied and kinda screwed since the game had a ton of the studio's own resources invested in it. Edge had a great article on the making of the game. *-neo

  10. Is it wrong to say that MS should've bought them up?
