The qualifying has been going on since February 22.
Basically, every ranked online game you've played since then counts towards your ranking for the tournament qualification. If you've played at least 10 games, and you're ranked in the top 2048, you get a chance to participate in the tournament.

On Friday, teams will have to "check-in" on the Pontiac website, and if you don't check in, you lose your spot in the tournament. Usually, there's a couple hundred qualified teams who don't check in, so even if you're ranked outside of the top 2048, you should still check-in on Friday since you have a good chance of qualifying in place of someone who didn't check-in.
So they actually shortened the field to 1,024, and looks like I made it in at spot #761.
That means I should have the 48th pick in my bracket, and will get assigned to a team tomorrow at midnight. The games start on Tuesday.
I'm hoping for Georgia now, since they are actually rated pretty high in this game (84 overall rating makes them the second best SEC team behind Tennessee) and they should have an easy road to the elite eight.
