I watched the USA team play Russia today. Wade and Lebron definitely looked like the two best players on the court.
Their defense being "feast or famine" could hurt them when they play guys who can actually pass and handle the ball well (Spain, Italy, Greece). Seems like on every defensive possession the USA either gets a steal/turnover or they give up a wide-open shot/lane to the basket.
The USA looked really bad again, this time against an Australian team who was resting its best player (Andrew Bogut).
At this point, I'll be surprised if they win gold.
Teams with as much talent as Spain/Italy/Greece/Argentina won't let the USA off the hook like the not-so-talented Russia/Australia have.
