No, but they are always trying to justify to the rest of us why its ok to do what they're doing. I was pointing out that none of us really care if they pirate, and if they are going to do it they should just do it and stop trying to rationalize it to people who don't care, especially since the legality of doing it doesn't change AT ALL no matter how they characterize what they are doing. Which sounds nothing at all like trying to be a conscience, imo.

If you're using SCUMMVM to play games you don't own on Wii then yes you are stealing shit.

Don't they have some free games to download on their website? And maybe people own some of this shit. I own a bunch of Sega CD games, but use emulation and such to play them because my laseractive replicates open asshole on my hdtv.

Look, we've got bigger problems on TNL than any piracy arguments. Like the fact that discussion threads for a game cater to people who don't want to know a single thing about what is in the game. That shit needs to stop.

Sometimes I want to read peoples' impressions of a video game without spoiling plot points for myself should those impressions convince me to buy the hypothetical video game about which I am reading. Crazy, but true!

That's what he's talking about. He doesn't think spoiler tags should have to be used because if you're not playing the game, you shouldn't be in the thread and risk having the story spoiled for you. Although I see his point, I think it's fine the way it is because 1) like you said, spoiler tags aren't hard to use, and 2) there are those who want to know how the game plays without having to know what happened in the story.

Also 3) how about those that are playing the game, but may not be as far in the game as some others?

I have no problems with spoiler-tagging major surprises or plot points in the game. But you will often see people around here get butthurt when someone openly discusses the gameplay itself, and THATS what I have a problem with. People got that way about Halo 3, and would bitch if someone even mentioned some of the game mechanics or weapons (and not weapons or mechanics that were meant to be some mid-game surprise, either). They think that any specific details of the game need to be tagged, so that they can go in completey blind. I don't think that discussion forums should cater to people that don't want to talk about the game.

I'm pretty sure you're confusing TNL with gamefaqs.
