There's plenty of grinding in Shiren, too. It's just for money to buy upgrades and melding pots instead of for EXP.

This is counterbalanced by death always being your fault.

I wouldn't go this far. Traps can be really punishing, and there's no way you can carry enough visibility items to uncover them on every single floor. There's quite a bit of luck involved.

Choc'bo Dungeon 2 is absolutely darling. I liked it a lot, but it's been a while.

Looking at online retailers, it seems like regular systems are harder to find than any other console. Is Nintendo doing one of their artificial shortage situations to spike demand? This time of the year is usually a pretty big lull for system sales I thought.

People who couldn't get it at Christmas are STILL buying 'em. Nintendo doesn't have to do shit to spike demand, it never went away.

Besides, Wii Fit just came out and sold like crazy, I imagine a lot of consoles went with it.

Does anything but wii fit and mario kart sell shit? it seems like even the really horrible games for the wii have slowed to a crawl.

Wii Sports might as well just be pre-loaded on the system in most cases. The thing doesn't even need a DVD drive for 75% of the people buying it, I suspect.
