It's funny cause my tolerance has risen, though probably not even close to razor's levels, but to the point where 3 beers gives me a buzz; this makes me sad.

I have a pretty high tolerance where it takes me 4 or so beers to get buzzed, depending on what I'm drinking. On an empty stomach though, a beer and shot makes me mildly drunk.

It tastes like a sweet mango and smells like flowers, if you put it in champagne it's like the best thing ever.

My tolerance has been pretty high for a while, and I find it's only gotten higher. The other night with my girlfriend we finished off 3/4 a bottle of Absolute Mango and when she left I had 5 tall boys and was still just drunk, not hammered. I don't think that's good.

Seattle beer week (or something) is going on right now and last night at Brouwer's was stout night. I had the Stone Bourbon Barrell Imperial and I think it might be the best damn stout I've ever had. It was the first bourbon barrell beer I'd ever had where the bourbon wasn't too subtle to be detected. I also tried the Port Townsend (can't remember what it was called, strongest coffee flaver I've ever tasted in a stout) and the Fat Cat or Fat Dog or something that was sort of unexceptional.

But that Stone Imperial, holy fuck...

Just picked up a bottle of Cuvee Series 2. I think I'll have it with dinner on Monday. $16 for a bottle... it better be something special.

It was. Certainly a swirl and sniff type of snooty experience, but it was pretty good. Very warming, and it tasted mostly like toffee.

Nah. Tried that once, and then I just went to the car and got my phone.

BUT I have gotten a lot better about it in the last year or so. I still get that itch after I've had a beer or seven though.

Shit happens. These days there's nothing wrong w/drunk dialing/texting. It just happens (and anybody who says you're wrong for doing it is full of shit, imo). Just don't promise your (you're?) undying love.

Shakey's Stone Imperial Stout sounds awesome. Will have to visit my local Top Foods (they've got the best beer selection) and see if they've got it.
