It'll be in the right-hand column. If that link doesn't work, this is how I got to it: Went to SonyStyle.com, clicked on Games, clicked on Playstation systems, clicked the PS3 40GB system, and it's right there.

I should be getting my card soon and with it the PS3.

Thanks! That makes sense. So "full" should theoretically provide a better picture. I just got a 1080p HDTV so I assume it can take advantage of this setting. Although i just got the tv so i'm still learning and mostly have no idea what I'm talking about.

Also, off topic, none of my PS3 games are 1080p. Uncharted and Ratchet are only 720p. All my 360 games are 1080p. Wtf Sony. 720p is totally 2005. Step it up. Also, release Home already.

Well not true. All the 360 games I've played recently...Bioshock/Mass Effect/Orange Box/Assasins Creed/etc are 1080p. Obviously my older games like COD3/Phantasy Star Universe/Etc what have you are not. Point being, I don't understand why Uncharted is 720p and Mass Effect is 1080p. PS3 hardware > XBOX 360 hardware.

Actually, I'm pretty sure COD4 is 1080p on 360...is the PS3 version also 1080p? Or is it 720p (like most of the PS3 games I've played).

I'm not trying to be a bitch or anything, I mean the PS3 games look goregous. But why can't the games be 1080p? It's not like any of this is ruining my enjoyment of the games or anything, nor do I know if Uncharted in 1080p would look terribly different/better than how it looks in 720p.

  5. There's only like five disc based games out this gen that are 1080p native no?

I run pretty much everything in 720p, made sense for me last time I checked the difference(only got 1080i though).

So most of the 360 games that display 1080p on the back of the boxes are being upscaled? They're not native.

So that basically explains what I've been wondering. Sony has more truth in advertising on the back of their boxes I suppose.

So when Sony says 1080p on the back of their box, it's likely native 1080p outputting. But when Microsoft says 1080p, it's probably a lie and being upscaled. I sure wish they would both be on the same page.

As was already pointed out, there's a lot of confusion out there when it comes to X360 games, but the list of actual, legit 1080p games for the console is pretty short. That was one of the reasons why I went with a 720p set instead of a 1080p set: at the size I got, the difference it pretty hard to notice anyhow, but I also figured with most games being 720p anyhow, I'd rather downscale 1080p games (meaning they'll still look nice) then upscale the majority of games I'll be playing to 1080p.
