During a system transfer, anyone know what will happen if the original PS3 dies mid-transfer? The process begins by formatting the new system's HD, so I'm worried it won't even boot up. But PS3's OS and system settings are probably stored on the MB somewhere, not the HD... right?
Seems safe to assume, but I was hoping someone knows for sure...
You'll probably need a usb stick with the system update (it'll tell you what version is required) on it, but unless you are on 3.56 now, you can fuck up the file system all you want and not do any permanent harm.
Everything else works in English, why not the error messages?
I'm really glad they let us reset the password right there on the PS3, I have no clue what my password used to be and realized I don't have access to the email address I used to register that account. I'm so pro.
