My son's 60gb PS3 just stopped reading discs. It still receives and ejects discs but it just shows the little loading symbol non stop and never loads the game/movie. Anyone have any idea what needs to be done?

Replace bluray drive.
Its not a hard fix, drives can be found for around $60.
Question you got to ask yourself is how much longer do you think it will last before it YLOD?
Hint: not long.

Pretty much... I paid way too much to have Sony fix it thinking they'd take care of me if anything happened... I was wrong. It died less than 4 months later and they have a 3 month warranty.

You need to wait until E3 to see if there is a price drop, then buy a new one.
