Thread: Neil Gaiman's "The Absolute Sandman" Vol. 2

  1. Overall I really dug Sandman, but it had its highs and lows. I really hated the Marc Hempel run (Kindly Ones). The few issues that P. Craig Russell and Micheal Zulli did were breathtaking though.

  2. Not a fan of Sandman, but otherwise I <3 Neil Gaiman. Neverwhere is one of my favorite novels. I just recently finished his short story collection Fragile Things, and his short story "The Gift" is one I think about often.

I havnt had the chance to read any of Sandman. I am looking for the vol. he did with Yoshitaka Amano. I love his art.

  4. You're talking about "The Dream Hunters"? I really like Amano's style as well. There's so much depth in his choice of colors and strokes even though the overall effect is whimsical and airy.
And I got my Volume 2 last night, and it is gorgeous! I'm skimming through Volume 1 again before I dive into 2.
