I can't believe Sony is taking so long to even implement those features. Don't tell me those things are even hard to do for their engineers.
Wanna know something awesome? There was a way to download and send user-created levels up until right before the game launched. Microsoft kinda freaked out and ordered the feature removed. Now the only way to share a level is to play as host in a multiplayer game. I don't even think it's possible to permanently send a user-created level to another player.
It's this kind of thing that's making PSN look a lot more appealing as time goes on. If they ever manage to match the important 360 features (custom soundtracks, voice chat, in-game messaging,) Microsoft will have a lot to worry about.

So how is Triggerheart whatever.
Seems alright from the trial, which is how I felt last time I played it.
Really shitty for my 4:3 monitor, though, unless you like playing a letterbox in a letterbox. Makes tate needed where it really shouldn't be.
At least Steam operates on a platform where users can upgrade the hardware and programs have no intent of having complete control of every resource on the system. Sony has to shoehorn whatever features they add to the PS3's firmware in whatever space they initially allocated, lest they cause random issues with games.
Triggerheart Exelica is good times.
I really just want Ikaruga already, though.
Upgrading the hardware is irrelevant. I'll agree that Sony doesn't know how to keep a process running on the system without causing an issue within the hypervisor. Which is where my original beef comes in, I can't believe Sony's engineers are being lazy or retarded. All that really needs to be done is to pause the game. Send a damn "start" button signal to the game.
I know I'm totally blowing shit outta my ass, but I'm not far off either.

Old article, but still some good points.
