Thread: Official XBLA Thread

  1. I hope this game sells loads. Maybe UbiSoft'll learn a thing or two from this after that Reshelled bullshit.

  4. Upcoming Hydrophobia patch to reduce the suck?

Hydrophobia's trial version is also getting tweaked and being lengthened "to allow players to sample more of the game for free."

Alongside the dozens of fixes, the game's price is dropping from 1200 MS Points ($15) to 800 ($10) as of tomorrow, so hold out for another 24 hours if you've been fixin' on buying the XBLA title. The developer also noted that the fixes in this update will apply to future games in the Hydrophobia series, as well as the eventual PSN version.

  6. I tried the Monday Night Combat trial.

In the real game, is it always just you in Tower Defense against bots or do you get to play against another human team?

  7. There's 2 modes. Blitz is the tower defense thing (not just solo though, you can co-op with 4 people); Crossfire is 6v6 PvP.

You should be able to play both in the demo, as it gives you an hour of online play.

  9. Cool I liked Monday Night Combat aside from the fighting against bots. I need to give that crossfire mode a chance.

Also tried the Super Meat Boy demo. It was real easy until I tried the "dark world" and holy hell the meat hits the fan. Definitely worth picking up for 800 points.

After Burner Climax demo was actually a bit of a letdown. I had no idea what was going on and the help screen wasn't much help. At least it looked and sounded badass!

ABC: Shoot enemies. Don't get shot. Use climax to slow down the game for a second or two and fire infinity missiles at the same time to clear large masses of enemies in combo. Don't fire unnecessary missiles/misses to continue the combo. Don't get shot. What else do you need to know?

I mean literally everything you need to know about the game fits on the outside of the arcade cabinet.
