    TNL's Games of the Month 2006

    [ As usual, straight ports, retro compilations, and retro XBLA, Virtual Console, and PSN titles are ineligible. Exceptions can be made for ports if they have not otherwise been released domestically, and noteworthy remakes. ]

    Hideous, disgusting month. Which is excellent. Hopefully we have a few more months like this coming. My vote goes to Madden 08 En Espanol.

    Information on how TNL's GotY will work:
    Unless Nick objects or has something else in mind (which is the only reason I didn't do it last year), starting next month on the same day that the January GotM thread is posted, I will post a separate "TNL's Game of the Year Voting" thread, wherein every game throughout 2007 will be eligible for the top prize. It will not be a standard poll as usual; everyone who wants to be counted among the TNL consensus will be able to post a ranked top ten list for the year, each choice being worth from one to ten points (ten for your overall GotY, one for your ninth runner-up).

    After the month-long voting period, I will tally up all of the entries, and present an official "TNL's Game of the Year" thread, declaring our GotY, platform and genre-specific awards, and hopefully several TNL-inspired awards, which will come from TNLer suggestions in the GotY voting thread.
