Just like a collection of movies is neither a single movie, nor a movie at all -- but rather a collection, a compilation, an anthology.

A pack of Heroes DVDs is a show and the LOTR movies are a movie.

Five novels gathered together do not make a novel.

You're arguing that multiple parts which were made by the same company on the same engine with the same story are wholly seperate entities. The only one which was distinctly seperate at release was TF2 and a simple skin texture swap would render that on the same level as your average multiplayer portion. Half-Life on PS2 wasn't considered a collection of games and no one would call FEAR that, yet both have multiple parts that are available seperately. NWN Diamond is a collection of a game and expansion packs that make up a game, which makes it both a good game and a good collection of games.
