I got the album off of their website before it was released on Tuesday. I like it a lot, so far. Better than their first, in my opinion.
Although it feels like their first album in that the opening track feels like their strongest.
I like the direction that the band is going. Almost an anthemic emo pop rock. Or something.
Guess I'm in the minority for liking these guys better than +44, as well.
i picked it up as well. listened to it once and nothing stuck for me like the first album. i'll definately have to give it more playtime.
A&A is wretched overproduced cack. Trying to take Tom DeLonge as seriously as he wants to be taken with this is laughable.
At least +44 is fun sometimes.
I've not ever heard a lick by either of these bands.
RIAA Radar tells me they're both whores, and so are you if you bought the album.
Geffen and Interscope btw...
Thats an interesting website, the RIAA Radar one. I wonder though what its ultimate purpose is, there's been alot of great music that just happened to be released or distributed by a major label. Faith No More records for a start (I only mentioned them b/c I'm listening to them right now). Oh well
Buy them used or steal them.
I just can't give A&A another shot.
Especially once I listened to +44 and realise that Tom wasn't responsible for any of the good Blink 182 tracks.
Not really.
Just, when the whole first Angels CD sucked and the +44 CD was really good, it's obvious who was making the good Blink songs and who wasn't.
