What brand USB flash drive did you buy?
I just got a brand new 2gb USB flash drive. When I try to copy two 700 mb files onto it, it freezes at the '1 gigabyte copied' mark. I tried formatting the usb drive with different FAT sizes, yet nothing helps. Yesterday I returned the product, believing it was faulty, yet the new product acts exactly the same way. My old 128mb flashdrive never gave me any problems.
What am I doing wrong?
edit. the lights on the usb drive goes out when it hits the 1 gig limit. I'm so returning this product.

Seems weird... get Windows. lol... Have your tried just copying one 700mb file at a time? Format it FAT 32 and try to just copy one of the 700mb files. And make sure that brand is completely compatible with OSX.
'micro memory', some cheapass brand. www.eetnordic.com - stay clear of them.
They claimed compability on the box, but I guess they lied. Yes, I tried everything, and its a no-go.

See, this is why you don't buy no-name stuff
I bought the Corsair 2GB Voyager USB 2.0 Flash Drive last year for school and I love it so much I want to marry it . I read a lot of online reviews for flash drives and this one came out to be the most reliable in 2006. It's only $24.99 at Buy.com (Free Shipping!), but I'm sure that if there is an online coupon code available, it can be had for less.
