Personally I consider there to be a difference between filth and clutter when talking about things being "dirty"

I have no problem putting up with clutter as I've been forced to put up with not having adiquate storage space my whole life or having to deal with assignments that may clutter a kitchen table up for 8 hours straight with papers and various books.

However, I hate filth. It is nasty and attracts bugs. it is nothing but an annoyance while trying to do something.

then you seriously are not pressed for time if you really have a choice and go with cleaning.

EDIT: For me it would be like choosing cleaning over going to work.
