    Seriously.

I wanted to haul my HDTV over to my g/f's place so we can play Gears of War in HD, but the fucker is 150 lbs. That alone isn't that big of a problem but trying to get a grip on it so I can move it by myself is.

  2. Fuck SD, with DirecTV I get like 40 some odd channels in HD already, the only SD channels I watch anymore are Comedy Central. Even the upconverted SD looks worlds better on the HD channels.

Swimmingly. I sold my HDTV. I was thinking about getting another one, but then I decided I don't need one at the moment.

Anthony: I don't really care if she takes all the dicks in france.

  4. I've heard there's some kinda crazy flat CRT technology (yeah, I know, sounds impossible - apparently it uses a bunch of guns close to the screen instead of one set way back from it) coming in like a year that's gonna display SD content almost perfectly.

  5. My parents have an older Sony rear projection 50" 4:3 HD TV that displays SD content perfectly. I believe It was one of the first 1080i sets avaiable. HD content looks brilliant on it as well.

I have 2 (32") Wega HD sets that weigh 168 pounds each. I can't imagine what you're using to support a 300 pound set.
Okay, 300 might have been a bit of an overestimate. But it is easily over 225 and impossible for a single person to get a grip on and lift.

Also it's sitting on top of a TV stand that is barely too small for it (both sides stick over by about an inch). Been there for a year so far with no problems.
