Wasn't terrible! Tippett Studios did a lot of the effects work, they generally do a fine job.
There's a particularly good shot where somebody's jaw is held open and the top of his head gets ripped off, that was pretty great. Bloodless, but still pretty good.

Watched The Croods.
All the pictures and the name made me sure that I wouldn't like this when it came out.
But it's actually really good! It's a Dreamworks movie, and they've been doing some solid CG animation. I love Nicolas Cage's performance, and it looked like the animators had a lot of fun with the slapstick. It's worth watching if you've liked their recent stuff, like How to Train Your Dragon.
Do you prefer dogs or cats?
Yeah, the Croods is great! This is the least cocked-eyebrow movie they've made yet.
It was also a good move having Nicolas Cage play himself.

Not a single one of his Batman movies is worthy of a Prince soundtrack.
I watched Alien for the first time last night. I know, I know, somehow I have seen all the sequels but never managed to watch the original. I already knew most of the twists, but still, it has to be the most tense movies I have ever seen. The alien is simply terrifying here. I love this movie.
I ordered Aliens and Alien 3, haven't seen either of them since I was a wee lad, so they might as well be new movies.
So envious of you seeing Alien for the first time. I wish I could do that.
