Thread: The "I Just Watched..." Thread

  1. Transformers The Last Knight. My daughter wanted to see it, and even she regretted afterwards. It is like Bay isn't even trying any more, nothing makes sense, the action scenes are worst than even the original. There is no impact to anything on screen as everything is just thrown together. There are so many throwaway scenes that can be edited out and won't make any difference to the plot.

Its been like that since the first one. Since the second one if you want to be kind.

  3. The second one gave me the worst migraine I've ever had. I've nope'd out on the rest, but Best Buys the world over seem to like to showcase the wretched Soap Opera Effect on expensive TVs with these movies.

  4. There Will Be Blood - I love this movie. It’s fun to watch, and Daniel Day Lewis owns basically every scene. I can’t decide if the last scene in the bowling alley is a dream sequence or not. I think it is?

I’ve read some Nietzsche recently and actually identified a lot the philosophy driving the movie this time around. Great film.

    If you're a bowling alley, it's probably a dream.

I didn’t dig on it either. I’ve been meaning to give it another shot.
