Thread: The "I Just Watched..." Thread

  1. My Fair Lady is on... What a masterpiece that is! One of my faves.

  2. Dead Man's Shoes - I thought it was good, but not worthy of the Taxi Driver comparisons I read somewhere. Paddy Considine played a twisted bastard in it.

  3. Rented IDIOCRACY. Very funny flick. Luke Wilson goes into cryo-freeze for 500 years and wakes up to a society that has de-evolved intellectually because of the over-population of trailer trash over the years. Carls Jr. owns everything, and the entire city is one giant Costco.

Was it ever released in theaters? It looked like it had a decent enough budget.

Not many, and not for long. I remember hearing good things not long after it came out, and I couldn't find a theater playing it. I saw it last December or so on DVD and I really liked it. I suspect it'll find its audience on TV and DVD, kinda like Office Space.

  5. Darjeeling Limited- Fucking fantastic movie. That it's chock full of Wes Anderson "i did this part on purpose!" scenes doesn't make it any less of a good movie.
    Donk

  6. I'll probably pick that up tomorrow. I really loved the way that movie was filmed!

Natilie Portman booty doesn't hurt, either.

I sort of have a long term goal of the same thing. I think I've seen... like 58 or something.

Some of them are really bad. How Green Was My Valley, Tom Jones, and Around the World in 80 Days are.. ugh.
They are all avaliable on DVD one way or another. All my friend's copies are DVD, but not all domestic releases.
I'm not a devious man by nature... but when you're unarmed, your tactics might gonna be downright Archimedean.

  9. just finished watching "Dumbland" for my contemporary american film class.

    LOL.
b_ri on Twitch, Games Beaten in 2020 (3): Pokemon Sword (Sw), Detroit: Becoming Human (PS4), Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (PS4),

  10. The Game

Such a great movie. It just keeps getting worse and worse for Douglas, and then it gets out of control.

    David Fincher rules.
    Barf! Barf! Barf!
