The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Mos Def sucks so much. And I really don't remember the books being _this_ retarded. Monty Python "humor" is seriously confrontational in its bid to be the very antithesis of all that is actually funny.

But I still liked it okay. Probably because of the main girl and her pretty eyes. And because it brought back fond memories of the novels. But mostly because of the mice.

But Mos Def is a shitty actor and that's why I'm still worried about Be Kind Rewind, which I should be seeing very soon.

I loved the puppetry in Hitchhikers, it gives the movie a different feel. It's very refreshing compared to the CGI fests in every other movie.

Mos Def is just kind of there in Hitchhikers, where in most other versions Ford Prefect is an interesting character. He kind of sucked the life out of it a bit.

I really like the visuals in that flick, though. Yarn vomit!

lol, never seen disney musketeers, only seen old french and russian versions.. I am sure its an abomination of the classic novel, but I shall rent it next time I am at HV.

Mos Def SUCKS in Hitchhikers guide, that is very very true. He was as UN-Ford Prefect as I could imagine anyone being. Hes more tolerable in "Be King Rewind" but not great. I hear he is at his worst in "16 Blocks" where he does some wacky voice. I have not seen it, but I guess its wretched.

He was just fine in "The Woodsman" though.

Watched Don't Look Now last night after getting in a dumb fight with my girlfriend about what movie to get.

The DVD had pretty much the worst sound quality I've ever heard, it actually made the movie more difficult to follow. Regardless, it was okay, had sort of a silly ending--I feel like I should see it again without that fucking horrible sound. It was like they were talking into a can.
