  2. I finished Godless yesterday. It was kind of sappy and predictabrul but I liked it.

  3. Runaways on Hulu is pretty good! I like it more than the Netflix Marvel shows.

    Watched coco at one of those new fat people recliner theater set ups. The movie was pretty good. Another Disney movie following the trend I predicted: super focus on family. Also, the ending was made to make dad's cry.

    it has a Frozen short at the start. Its ok. But the story was kind of thrown together. I appreciate the one or two self aware jokes about how horrible Elsa's parents are.


    Also, I watched some food wars at my sister's. Holy shit. That show. So much porn/dbz parody.

  7. The Dark Tower — Wtf was this? I can tell the universe the movie is built on is cooler than this movie deserved. McCougnehey was melodramatic as that wizard guy and Elba was great. I really don’t understand the writing for this though. It was so very poorly paced.

    The Good Place — Ted Dansen nails every scene he’s in. I thought this show looked like trash but it pulled me in. I don’t imagine it’ll last long before the veneer wears off

  8. Good Place lasts far longer, in fact it's still fantastic in season 2.

    * It's possible plot machinations only seemed tertiary because I couldn't follow them. Never can in spy movies. I just kind of entrusted the movie to know what it was doing. Still don't know who Bakhtin was or where The List (a convenient catalogue of all the spies in all the agencies in all the countries...?) even came from.
    Not just you, that really bothered me in that movie as well. I mean, is it that hard to dig up punk from the era?

    I like it. Reminds me of Parks and Rec. Charicature style characters that are internally consistent so you enjoy seeing how they react in different situations. And just a dash of the absurd to keep it from being mundane.
