That show is truly, truly brilliant. A friend of mine theorized that one of the reasons it holds up so well, and continues to resonate, is that Cheers (the bar) is a metaphor for purgatory. The characters never really leave the setting (outside of some rare instances,) and we can only understand them in the scope of this holding pattern - the interactions are confined to this space but have to play their lives out from the confines of the bar. He describes it better than I do but that's the gist of it. Anyway I can't even listen to the opening song without tearing up. It's a beautiful show.

El Camino Christmas. This movie is awful. Hell would have to freeze over before Tim Allen could acceptably be cast as a believable ex-marine or soldier.
