I believe that is the best option. Unless you're playing online, you're better off going with the PS2 version of any fighter, as it has much better controller options.
What is the best 6 button pad (kinda like the layout for the 6 button sega genesis controller) for the original XBOX?
The limited edition Street Fighter character pads for the XBOX...I hear are style over substance. But it might be my only option?
Please let me know.
Thanks.

This adapter combined with a Sega Saturn pad.
PS2 Saturn pad + PS2->XB converter.
Ah nuts, Bvork beat me to it.
Are there any viable fighter pads for 360 yet?
No, but some folks in the VFDC forum figured out how to hack a Virtua Stick High Grade so that it will work on both PS3 and Xbox 360. You'll need to find a Gamestop branded Micro Controller for the Xbox 360 (it's a rebranded MadCatz MicroCon) and have some really good soldering skills though.
I want one so bad.

Whatever you do, avoid those nuby SF pads. They're completely useless. I bought two of them on clearance, and neither one of them would register diagonals on the right hand side of the dpad without an enormous amount of force.

Cosigned. I didn't have problems with particular a particular direction, but the D-pad has tons of dead areas where you can move it but not register an input. My failure rate for move inputs went through the roof with my guile pad...S-pad AND original fat controller are much better.
I would go with a modded pelican multiconsole stick. The model I have supports PS2, Xbox and Gamecube. Stock parts are total crap, but it's good after a sanwa stick and some happ buttons are in place.
Never even knew Sanwa sticks can go in that Pelican stick without any routing and stuff. I assume you used the Sanwa JLW/Ultimarc J-Stick? Would the same apply to the Street Fighter Anniversary Stick? A friend and I got 4 sets of Sanwa JLWs and Happ Pushbuttons w/ Horizontal Microswitches during the summer that was supposed to used in making some custom arcade sticks that never ended up happening.![]()
