It seemed solitary to us because there were just the two tents, one was too small for a person and just had gear, the other large enough for one person. But the cops think, someone else may have been there based on one thing which I think is kind of stretching it but I understand why they want to cover all angles.
I hadnt eaten much all day and was starving right before we found the body. We didnt plan on fishing much upstream as we didnt have the proper required hooks for it, and there was a 0 fish limit in place. We just wanted to look around and see if anything was biting or going down on the other side of the bridge. While we were waiting for the cops to show up at this phone booth/creepy restaurant we only had Beef Jerky to eat in my car. Needless to say it wasnt touched and Im just now throwing a microwave pizza in the oven.Originally Posted by spodaddy
But, yeah, in general, real rotting bodies? not cool. The stench was bad, and I was okay at the time but, I now keep thinking about the messed up isolated setting, and the sight of the thing is stuck in my head.
We were talking on the way up about how cool and nice it would be to one day maybe live up there with all of that nature, beauty, and isolation but after seeing this, I dont think I ever want to live out in the middle of nowhere, the nearest cop miles and miles away, no signal for a phone so no means to call for help, just completely fucked if the wrong situation and a worst case scenario occurs.
I think Ill stick with the city.
