I think the cops always check for foul play, 'specially if a body's found and not in a place where a dead person "should" be. They were questioning my mom when my dad died, since she found him at home. To make things worse, he usually shut himself up in his room when he was at home, could've been there for a couple days. He hadn't completely unpacked, either, since he traveled to and from work. My mom didn't notice anything until the smell.

Yeah, I think they were curious as to why we had even looked in the tent, and werent too sure if we were really just being good samaritans. I told him "somebodys got to look out for his fellow man, seeing as you guys out here definitely arent doing it." I think that pissed him off, I mean this one sheriff has to cover a lot of ground and it wasnt his fault, but those fucking park rangers? No excuse for not noticing this. But damn it, maybe we should have looked a lot closer in the small tent. Maybe the guy was a bank robber and had a million dollars in there?

So the guy just went camping alone? That's a little strange, especially since there were two tents. I wonder if there was anyone wondering what the heck happened to him.

It seemed like he was. I mean one tent was definitely for his gear and too small for a person. Based on the tag of the vehicle we gave, and the guys name on the I.D. it appears he was indeed missing and being looked for.
