Ya you have to pay for them again. So as to appease the music industry who rightly assumed if it were free everyone would just go to Blockbuster and rent RB1 to rip the songs. Which they can still do, but now at least they get paid a bit.

Is it possible to play with a second player on your system that doesn't have a Gold account over Live? My friend and I were going play against his brother and roommate, but his roommate doesn't have a gold account so it wouldn't let him join. I remember having the option to sign a person in as a guest, but I don't see how to do that anymore.

Its only $5. I thought it was a good option they even let you transfer songs unlike the Guitar Hero games.

You do if you want to convert your old, jank iTunes music to iTunes Plus. It's like that. You can keep playing the shitty quality music but if you want the new hotness you have to pay a small fee.
