There’s very little harm with letting kids play and have tablets. If they’re on it so much it interferes with proper socialisation is when it’s an issue.
It really is the same argument as TV and video games and the internet even. It’s easier to sit on your ass and do nothing now than ever because parents don’t let their kids ride outside on their bikes unsupervised.

The big difference now is how accessible media is now. For us, cartoons were appointment viewing. You missed it, you had to wait for it to come back around in a week (who knows how long you'd have to wait to see that episode you missed). Sure, VHS recording changed that but it's nothing like it is now. On demand access of entire seasons of every show 24/7. There's always something to stare at where ever you are now.
yeah, to say it has no impact is like saying that a rich child's access to unlimited things vs a poor child's limited access to things has no impact on their development.
Infinite access to stimulation is going to do something we haven't seen before. Most of us didn't have infinite access to games and tv, nor did we have access to all available options when we tuned in.
more like phallus argument.
Well he was being a dick
I'm cool with the slime thing. I like the DIY and communal aspect of it (making videos with friends, sharing recipes, etc.). I'm just surprised it's back. It's like kids grew up with tech as the norm and are going back to old school stuff. My kid brother is into card tricks which is the same sort of thing.
