Thread: Today's Random News

  1. It's a small world, after all. It's a small, small wooooorld.

Looks like that nuclear reactor in Japan has been spewing 330 tons of contaminated water per day for the past 2 years. Good stuff. Any bets on how long it'll be before we see Godzirra?

  2. I'm not a math whiz, but if it's leaking 330 tons a day, and they're only pumping out 110 tons a day...
And it's been leaking for 2 years, and they're only now going to start pumping...
That doesn't seem like an equation that will ever equal out.

  3. I don't think you read it right.

330 tons are leaking into the ocean. "Some" of that is ending up in underground water areas, which I would guess ends up in Japanese drinking water. So they're gonna start (start, in 2013, years after the meltdown) pumping out that underground water.

Apparently no fucks are given about the water that is ending up in the ocean

    Dat swag.

  5. Article about how the cops steal from people in order to pay their bills.

  6. As soon as I realized they were in Texas, I was no longer shocked. Money talks in North Mexico. Good article though.

I've heard cops down there will snort your coke off the hood of your car and then bust you for the empty bag.

This whole thing is so disconcerting, I weep for the radioactive ocean'ed future.

  10. Between that, the coral reefs, over fishing and the giant floating trash pile the size of Texas, we've done a phenomenal job destroying the oceans.
