the box of photographs was probably left in Captain Scott’s hut by Ernest Shackleton’s 1914-1917 Ross Sea Party, an expedition that was stranded after their ship floated away to the sea during a massive blizzard. The group was finally rescued but only after three men were already lost.
Should of tied a rope to that, picture boy.

You'll do ok.
So what are you seeing as the alternatives?
Downloading digital files? They'll be gigantic in size and you'll need more storage that is reasonably available to have any decent-sized library?
Streaming purchases? You'll burn through your bandwidth unless you're fine putting up with video quality that's nowhere as good as it should be. Not to mention having far more quality spikes due to Internet traffic that you currently get.
Streaming services? All of the negatives above, PLUS the fun of never knowing if the movie you want to watch is actually up at the time.

Still, Blu Ray is a 2 billion dollar industry. Physical isn't going away soon.
the average consumer can't see the difference between a dvd and a youtube video at 140 burned do a cdr
