  2. Yeah, the lumping minority groups together thing is not a good look. You know the feeling we get when we read the people of 50 years ago call native Africans "savages?" That's going to be what people reading our stuff 50 years from now feel when they read about our candidates "going for the Latino vote."

    Nobody says "the white vote" or "the white community" because white people are diverse and complex, you see. But black people behave as a colony of ants with a shared consciousness and uniform goals and values. You get one, you get 'em all!

    From a voting standpoint, that's not far from the truth though. And nonsense like calling each other "Uncle Toms" and saying that others aren't "black enough" isn't helping.

    Well, they are united in being a minority. They have specific fears that are common.

    White people don't have a lot of common fears

  5. Seriously, why won't black people vote for a party that consciously appeals to segregationist elements in the country? Why don't they vote for a party that seeks to disenfranchise them with flimflam voting laws? The mind boggles.

    Not being able to vote three times or after you die is not disenfranchising. How informed a voter do you think someone who can't be bothered to get an ID is? They should never have been voting.

    No one should vote for a guy like that, which is why he was essentially thrown out of the party.

    edit: I do like that you take the word of a guy who was on trial for felony corruption though.

    Voter Fraud isn't a real issue. And for poor people getting an ID that the polls will accept is problematic. They purposely design these laws to disenfranchise.
