Kind of related: New York Magazine has the first interview I've seen with a "practicing" tetrachromat.
Both the person interviewing and the lady answering the questions came off as kind of irritating but I still found a lot of the information interesting.

Well, states who screen welfare applicants for drug use don't seem to be getting much out of the practice. Financially, anyway. I'm sure they're getting plenty of the righteous indignance and thrill of persecution these programs are really about:

Bonus jokes: the overlap of the list of states with/passing drug test legislation and the list of states refusing the Medicaid expansion and sending in reps to fight ACA is pretty funny. Gubbermint ain't got money for yer ma'am-o-graham, lady. But there is somethin' we do got money for.
Drug testing is just one of the expenses we shouldn't be wasting on working age and able non-vets.
