Thread: Super Ultra Street Fighter 4 Turbo Alpha Gold Championship Edition'

  1. I'll play nice.

SF2 was perfect speed, just a different flow. And yes, I have played it recently.

You connect with E.Honda's super by punishing moves, or predicting moves. There is a certain amount of time after/during moves where the player is unable to defend himself. This is when you are hitting with the super.

  2. I'm the worst street fighter player but I win all the time. I think it's because I seem to fuck up input combo's a lot, but I end up doing really random and unpredictable things when everyone else is thinking strategy or something. They could all just really suck though. That's a possibility.

  3. People who don't know what they are doing are hard to read.

That said, simple solid safe play should beat it out, so maybe you have the luck of the gods.

Yeah, you're playing people that suck but just don't realize it (there are a lot of those in the fighting game community). People who are good at Street Fighter will make you feel like the walls are closing in on you from all four sides. It's sickening, the kinds of things that they do.

  5. Yeah, once you read up on strategies and see the things you can do in Sirlin's training video on the Capcom Classics 2 disc, you can see what you're missing and what to look out for.

  6. Sounds like Drew is at that magical place where if he learns anything more about strategy, he's gonna screw himself over. There's a point where you haven't learned how to lose yet, and he's right at it.

This is the truth right here. If you've never played in a tournament or with high-level players, you never know just how much pressure could be placed on you when you know you have a top player going up against you. It took me forever to learn how to just calm down and dissect Sanford's work before being a challenge against him.

This almost makes me want to play competitive SF again. Almost.

  8. Wow. I got a red card for this? Out of all the posts in this thread.

  9. Let that be a lesson?

  10. Indeed.

    What's the lesson?
