So far everyone in this thread agrees: SF 3rd Strike is awesome.

It is a good game, but given a choice I'd take Alpha 3 over 3rd Strike.

So, can you remember when you were molested as a child? I know it hurts, but if you dig deep and put it out in the open, it will be good for you.

Random poke into super, no setups/traps, weak fireballs, normal spamming for meter, iron clad tiers. Yeah, those are pretty much my issues with the game.

SF2, Alpha series, CvS2 all work for me. KOF 98, 2002, and the guilty gear series also work. I actually know a lot of old SF players that think the same way. SF3 lost something along the way. I get very little enjoyment from playing or watching it.

Edit: But I do like the art direction. Not so much the music selection. SF2 ryu, ken, and guile were the peak of fighting game music.

The thing about 3S is that it's not really that great of a game until you achieve high level status, then it is the best fighting game ever made. It's like a fighting game "No Homer's Club."
